Keter Fortis Outdoor Shed, 8-feet x 11-feet

I have owned quite a few sheds including Rubermaid and Lifetime and the Keter sheds are the best quality plastic based shed I have owned. I own 2, the 8X11 Fortis and a smaller size maybe 8X6. The 8X6 is 8 years old and shows no sign of aging. The 8X11 is 5 years old and shows no sign of age.

I am very happy with the qualtiy of the sheds.

The fortis does not come with the shelves. It came with shelf brackets but expect the owner to provide the shelf. This is my only complaint about the Fortis (Large Lifetime sheds come with some shelves).

I am happy enough with the Fortis that I am planning on purchasing a second one even though I can purchase an 8X15 (4' larger) Lifetime Brighton (with shelves) for only $200 more. I bought two Fortis 8'x11' sheds two years ago. For the most part, I have been happy with them. But, one of them developed a problem. Each Fortis has two skylights front and back. One of these skylights has gone bad. Being an engineer, I can speculate what went wrong. When the skylight was plastic injected (molded) someone forgot to include the titanium dioxide (UV protection) in the batch. Consequently, this skylight has yellowed and cracked and is slowly deteriorating. The other skylights are fine they still look new. When I went to obtain a new part from Keter, the part description is not enough to clearly define what it is. I am in the process of contacting Keter.
Being an engineer, I can confidently say this is a good example of poor Quality Control (QC).
Buyer beware.
